Since 2015, Richard has been a consultant at Mercer PeoplePro, where he draws on his wealth of experience to provide leadership training and advise companies how to improve their sales processes and develop sales strategies. Earlier, he retired after 15 years as a partner at Mercer, where he was a global sales executive across all product lines and client relationship manager for a number of U.S. based international companies. He developed and led training of high-performing sales teams on assessing customer relationship dynamics, improving customer retention, and helping clients succeed through understanding their needs.
Prior to joining Mercer, Richard spent 15 years at Watson Wyatt (now Willis Towers Watson) where he was a Principal focused on business development and client management, and 11 years at the National Automobile Dealers and Associates Retirement Trust as Assistant Director where he managed a 12-person sales staff and lobbied Congress regarding ERISA legislation.
