Bruce Kulp graduated from the University of Michigan with a Degree in Business in 1961 and a Degree in Law in 1964. He joined Ford Motor Company in 1964 in the Legal Department and spent the next 35 years at Ford. In 1985, he moved to England and spent the next 3 years as General Counsel of Ford of Europe and a member of the Executive Committee.
Upon his return to the United States, he assumed responsibility for supervising the lawyers of all Ford’s North American subsidiaries (over 300 lawyers) and for the legal affairs of the Parent Company in Labor and Human Resources, Securities Law, Sales & Marketing and was involved in many of the major acquisitions and divestitures of the Company (Ford Aerospace, Jaguar, The Associates, Hertz, First Nationwide Bank). In 1994, after the death of his wife, he left the legal department to become Executive Director of Strategic Planning for the Ford Financial Services Group and participated in the WTO Financial Services Agreement negotiations among other duties. He retired from Ford in 1999.
